Karius apparently concussed during CL final

According to a check up he got in Massachusetts the other day. Coincidentally which is where I believe Liverpool’s owners reside. They say he definitely was but they don’t know when, but it was definitely before both mistakes and it was probably Ramos fault.

Total fucking beard, I reckon. There’s far to many ‘convenient’ things about that story. Deflection and excuse making at its finest IMO.

I'm rather dubious about this story, but I would have thought that a symptom of concussion might be not realising you are suffering from concussion. Especially, as gph says, when combined with adrenalin.

Sorry but this news coming out of the states a week after the event has to be bullshit. they are guessing he might have been concussed. Surely the Liverpool club doctor would have been in Kiev with them and run a concussion protocol.

The doctor would have noticed. the rules on concussion were changed were they not after what happened in the last world cup and euros with those players that had the clash of heads.

When I did my back in playing, I didn't stop, and probably made things much worse.

Nor did I even notice I was mildly concussed the one time I was, until I started feeling sick a couple of hours later.

Adrenaline has got a lot to answer for.

@madog probably bad wording but I wasn't suggesting a footballer can take a boxers punch etc.

I mean to just say that it is humanely possible to get up/spring to your feet when otherwise staying down might be the better option (health-wise).

Adrenalin is powerful stuff...

A boxer who's juat taken a massive hit is a bit different to a footballer.

They are used to it and always het up as quick as they can in order not to lose the fight.

A premier league footballer goes down for a good 12 minutes if a gust of wind goes near them.

If he was properly clumped he would have gone down.

I'm not saying he wasn't caught, I'm saying he wasn't properly concussed

The youtube footage puts Ramos in the 'dirty cunt' category, largely because he's a dirty cunt.

This report suggests Karius got fucked up by Ramos https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44367149.......but Liverpool should still stop whinging.

Schweinsteiger did roughly the same thing to Randolph at OT in the FA Cup game in 2015/6, so form for the 'big' clubs.

those saying he got up rather quickly after that, so do boxers who are 'out on their feet'.

I'm not saying this isn't just Liverpool spin but he clearly did get an elbow from Ramos & I'd like to think that the independent medical assessment can be trusted.

No excuse for the goals he let in tho...awful.

Just watched it.

He got up pretty quickly for someone that's juat suffered a concussion.

Especially for a premier league footballer

The last thing I'd do is speak in support of scousers and it would be better for them if they just shut the fuck up, but that Ramos is one nasty cunt of a player and it looked as though he knew just what he was doing. But having said that Karius was up on his feet immediately and showed absolutely no ill effects so fuck knows what they're bleating about.

I cant even recall the Ramos collision / elbow
He didn’t go down requiring medical attention so unless he brought to the trainers attention it probably wouldn’t have been noticed.
I imagine if you examined a lot of sportsmen after a match (especially in rugby etc) they would show various levels of concussion.
Most don’t make a song and dance (ie excuse ) out of it if they have played like a cunt

How would it have gone down with the fans if they'd substituted him just in case he had concussion (which he showed no signs of) thus wasting one for a match that could well have gone to ET?
